Memories have the power to transform our pain, to help us remember and to smile. On Sunday, July 15th, our children, families, staff, volunteers and board members gathered at Northwest Park in Windsor for a family picnic and butterfly release. The day proved to be a memorable one as the families participated in activities that helped them to cherish and honor the memories of their loved ones. No matter whom we have lost, we all have the ability to keep them in our hearts as we continue on our life’s journey. The gift of memory is one of our greatest comforts.

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam,
And, for a brief moment its glory and
Beauty belong to our world.
But, then it flies on again,
And though we wish it could have stayed,
