Mary's Place Teen Helper Gets Published

Mending a Broken HeartNo one wants to be in a situation that forces them to end up at Mary's Place. But even in the most unfortunate of circumstances, love, happiness and hope can eventually be found. It took me a long time to realize this. Six and a half years after the first time I stepped into Mary's place, I wanted to give other teens the hope and inspiration I wish I had had right after I tragically lost my mom. My book, Mending a Broken Heart-A Teenager's Guide Through Losing a Parent, follows my story as I go through grief, all while trying to be a normal teenager. The book includes personal experience as well as advice, varying from what to do when someone tries to tell you how to feel, to going through a parent getting remarried. (For me, my parents met at Mary's Place, and I know they couldn't be happier.)

To order a copy, please email me at KimMasi@gmail.com. Books are $12 plus shipping; $2 from each purchase will be donated to Mary's Place.
